Introducing the new 2026 Tour AD FI – Flight Intelligence – the next evolution in golf shaft technology from Graphite Design. Designed and manufactured at Graphite Design’s Japan factory headquarters for players who demand precision, power, and consistency, the Tour AD FI features a futuristic look, complete with a sleek new TOUR AD logo, and is finished with a green-to-gloss black fade with silver accents.
Like the other high-performance Tour AD wood shafts, the Tour AD FI utilizes premium, aerospace-quality carbon-fiber materials and is available in 40g R2, R1, S flex and X flex, 50g R2, R1, S and X flex, 60g SR, S, X, and TX flex, 70g S, X, and TX flex, and 80g X flex.
The Tour AD FI shaft profile is Firm+ in the butt section and Firm+ in the center section and has a Stiff tip to promote Mid-launch angles and Low to Low/Mid-ball spin rates. It utilizes Graphite Design’s proprietary AD Shield technology and the new TORNADO TIP TECH, along with the modern Torayca M40X and T1100G material technologies, to reliably transmit the player’s input to the club head, allowing for consistent shot-making and enhanced performance on the course.
Whether shaping shots or maximizing distance, the new Tour AD FI adapts to your swing, delivering unparalleled stability and responsiveness. Elevate your game with a shaft that thinks as fast as you play – because intelligent performance starts with the new Tour AD Flight Intelligence golf shaft from Graphite Design.
Features & Technology:
- AD Shield
- Tornado Tip Tech
- TORAYCA ® M40X carbon-fiber pre-preg.
- TORAYCA ® T1100G carbon-fiber pre-preg with NANOALLOY ® technology for increased stability in the mid to tip region and unsurpassed feel.
- 50 ton ultra-premium, high modulus, aerospace quality carbon fiber materials.
- Graphite Design proprietary Material Stiffness Integration (MSI) design philosophy and technology.
Tech – AD Shield

AD SHIELD technology consists of strategically positioned piles of the TORAYCA M40X material technology in the handle section of the shaft, combined with a new mandrel shape, resulting in a stable yet smooth feeling kick point, an optimized shaft profile, and an overall solid structure. The AD SHIELD technology is used in the Tour AD GC and Tour AD FI wood shafts.
Tech – Tornado Tip

TORNADO TIP TECH is a new method of shaft construction that focuses on the tip section of the shaft, where Graphite Design R&D engineers have developed a proprietary method of incorporating special tip plies of carbon fiber laid up at unique angles to the shaft’s centerline. This new method yields a decrease in tip torque, resulting in even tighter dispersion rates. The Tornado Tip TECH is utilized in the Tour AD FI wood shafts.
TORAYCA® M40X

TORAYCA ® M40X pre-preg is the latest in cutting-edge carbon-fiber materials from Toray Industries, Inc. Before TORAYCA® M40X, carbon fiber pre-preg materials were either high in tensile modulus or high in tensile strength, but not high in both. The new TORAYCA M40X pre-preg offers a significant improvement in tensile strength, with a 30% increase over conventional carbon fiber materials.
The new and revolutionary TORAYCA M40X pre-preg now enables our engineers to develop high-performance Graphite Design golf shafts with an even higher degree of shaft zonal tuning, without adding weight to the design. This results in increased shaft stability and a more enhanced feeling of total ball control compared to conventional golf shafts.
Golfers who utilize Graphite Design shafts with TORAYCA M40X pre-preg can now essentially load the shaft more, and the more it is loaded, the more energy it will store and release at impact, resulting in increased ball speeds and greater distance.
The Torayca M40X material technology is featured in the Graphite Design Tour AD FI, GC, VF, UB, HD, XC, and Anti-Gravity models of wood shafts, as well as the Tour AD VF UT Driving Iron shafts.
TORAYCA® T1100G
TORAYCA ® pre-preg using T1100G carbon-fiber with NANOALLOY ® technology is unlike conventional pre-preg materials and it is comprised of both higher modulus and very high tensile strength fibers. The resin system of TORAYCA ® T1100 G pre-preg is also based on NANOALLOY Technology for added strength and vibration damping.
TORAYCA ® T1100G advanced material technology allows Graphite Design engineers to fine-tune specific zones of the shaft stiffness for added stability without increasing structural weight, resulting in the next generation of high-performance Tour AD graphite golf shafts that provide superior Accuracy and Distance with every shot. The TORAYCA ® T1100G technology is featured in the Tour AD FI, GC, VF, UB, HD, XC and IZ models of wood shafts.
MSI Technology
Material Stiffness Integration, MSI, is the main design concept by which Graphite Design develops it premium golf shafts. Composite materials consist of two main components, graphite fibers and resin. The stiffness of the many different fiber types that Graphite Design utilizes has an impact on how the shaft profile bends in relation to the player’s input during the swing. The resin not only helps to maintain the structural integrity of the shaft but also acts more like a sponge, absorbing unwanted vibrations to help create the exquisite feel that Graphite Design shafts are so well known for.
By using proprietary design formulas and a combination of different materials that vary in stiffness, resin content and fiber volume, Graphite Design is able to design shafts that results in superior feel when compared to other shaft manufactures and deliver the Perfect ACCURACY and Pure DISTANCE that golfers desire in a shaft.

- Pro’s Choice encourages consulting a PGA Professional or qualified club builder to help you determine the correct shaft and length for your swing profile and to meet your goals.
- Always leave a minimum of 0.5″ of the parallel tip section of the shaft above the hosel. For example, with a hosel bore depth of 1.5″ and the shaft has a parallel tip length of 4.0″, the tip trim length should not exceed 2.0″.
- Improper installation may affect the intended performance of the shaft. Warranty is for material and workmanship of our products. Improper installation voids warranty of product.
