PING G440 MAX PAIRWAY

The MAX model is available in five lofts, including a new 4-wood, to provide more gapping solutions. The face is taller for confidence off the tee while maintaining a CG location that delivers high-launching performance off the ground. A Free Hosel and Carbonfly Wrap lower the CG, increase forgiveness and contribute to a more muted, pleasing sound at impact. Lofts are adjustable ± 1.5° and lie up to 3° flatter than standard.

  Free Hosel, Low CG

  Weight savings from the Free Hosel (11.5 g) and Carbonfly Wrap crown help create a low CG and ensure forgiveness.

  Taller, Optimized Face

  The maraging steel face is taller and optimized in the heel and toe regions for more ball speed and consistent performance on off-center strikes. This will increase your confidence hitting off the tee.

  Carbonfly Wrap Crown

  The Carbonfly Wrap crown saves weight, which is reallocated to help lower the CG, ensure forgiveness and contribute to a more muted, pleasing sound at impact.

  Contoured Sole Design

  Common to all G440 fairway models, a slimmer back-weight profile ensures the club sits more flush and the face angle remains consistent, no matter the loft or lie setting in the adjustable hosel.

  G440 High Launch (HL)

  To help slower-swing-speed players generate speed, higher launch and distance, HL fairways are engineered with a lighter back weight, ultralight PING Alta Quick shaft, and Lamkin UTx Lite grip.

  PING-Engineered Shafts

  Counter-balanced Alta CB Blue is lighter to help increase clubhead speed on a mid-high to high launch. Tour 2.0 Black is low launch and low spin, a good fit for higher swing speeds. Tour 2.0 Chrome delivers a low-mid to mid ball flight with control and precision.

  Aftermarket Shafts

  Project X Denali Red is counter-balanced and delivers a high trajectory with mid/high spin, best for a moderate swing tempo. Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black is a low-launch, low-spin option designed to keep torque low under the force of faster swings.

  

  

  Maximizing your distance and accuracy on long shots from the fairway is accomplished by matching the correct shaft flex for your swing. The goal is to achieve the correct trajectory with the fairway wood, which maximizes distance with the longer woods and minimizes roll with the shorter woods.
  Generally, the same shaft type and flex as your driver will produce the optimal trajectory in fairway woods, but it is not uncommon for players to have a different shaft brand, type and/or flex in their fairway woods since they are ground-impact clubs and may perform differently for some players.
