Overview
Choose a service
TrackMan records club and ball speed, face angle at impact, swing path and launch angle. You learn how efficiently you transfer energy, why the ball curves left or right and what to adjust for a more consistent shot.
What will you learn from a session?
-
Your actual ball flight
The session starts with shots using your current clubs to establish your natural ball flight: distance, direction and consistency from shot to shot.
-
Launch & spin
You’ll understand how launch angle and spin affect the trajectory. Launch that is too low makes the ball fall early, while too much spin sends it high and costs distance.
-
Face & path
Face angle and swing path data clearly explain why the ball curves left or right, making technical adjustments visual and focused.
-
Verified adjustments
Every change – loft, lie, grip or practice suggestions – is confirmed directly by your own ball flight during the session.
When data turns into distance & accuracy
With launch brought into the right window and spin under control, you can gain real distance without swinging harder.
When face angle and swing path match, your dispersion narrows. The biggest value is repeatability: you can aim and plan distances with confidence without worrying that the next shot will be “off”.
After a TrackMan session, you’ll have
- An accurate picture of your current swing.
- Clear numbers for choosing or fine-tuning clubs.
- Practical, easy-to-apply technique improvements.
- A practice plan better suited to your goals.
Who should try TrackMan?
- Beginners: quickly understand why the ball doesn’t get airborne or doesn’t go straight.
- Intermediate golfers: regain lost distance and reduce unpredictable left–right misses.
- Golfers changing their swing: get baseline data to track changes and practice what really needs improving.
- Golfers upgrading their clubs: choose equipment based on real numbers rather than feel alone.
- Busy golfers: think of it as a full “check-up” for your current swing.

Swing DNA · Set Optimizer
Hit three balls – change your golf
Mizuno Fitting at LionGolf uses SET OPTIMIZER – Mizuno’s new-generation fitting tool, successor to the Shaft Optimizer 3D, developed with Seiko Epson sensing technology. With a single sensor, you are measured and fitted for your Driver, irons and wedges in one session.

- 3fitting clubs: Driver · Iron · Wedge
- 3test shots with each club
- 10swing elements analysed
- 600,000+Mizuno fitting records worldwide since 2017
- 25years of Mizuno fitting experience
How does the Set Optimizer work?
The kit has three dedicated fitting clubs – DRIVER, IRON and WEDGE – and one detachable Swing DNA sensor. The sensor is attached to each club in turn and you hit three shots with each (the wedge is an approach shot to a pin 30 yards away).
The sensor records shaft movement and swing movement together, analyses 10 elements – including rotation rate, measured for the first time – and sends them to the Swing DNA app to build your personal swing profile. According to Mizuno, it is the only device that measures all three club types with one sensor (patent pending), and the sensor is about 35 g lighter than the previous generation.

What does Swing DNA measure?
Set Optimizer analyses 10 elements of your swing. The results are used to choose shaft weight, shaft flex, lie angle and head shape for each club type.

-
Head speed
The starting point for choosing shaft flex, weight and set makeup.
-
Tempo
The transition from backswing to downswing – with head speed, it pinpoints shaft flex and weight.
-
Toe down
How much the shaft bows downward through the swing.
-
Kick angle
How much the shaft bends forward in the downswing.
-
Release factor
When the club head and shaft release – deciding a firmer or softer tip.
-
Lie angle
Measures the swing plane in 3D space for an accurate lie angle.
-
Rotation rate (new)
New with Set Optimizer: how the club face rotates through the swing.
-
Head shape
Combined with your swing data to suggest the head shape that suits you.

Fitting for the whole set
One sensor – three fitting clubs – one Swing DNA profile for:
- Driver
- Irons
- Wedges

Why Set Optimizer?
The whole set in one session
One sensor moves across three fitting clubs – Driver, Iron and Wedge fitted in one go.
Just 3 shots
Each club needs only three test shots to build your Swing DNA profile – no fatigue.
Real movement
Captures both shaft movement and swing movement, not just where the ball goes.
Objective
No bias by handicap, age or gender – it only “sees” your swing.
I already know my specs – do I need a fitting?
Yes. No two brands measure the same way, and since your last fitting there may be new shafts and heads that suit you better. Mizuno recommends a new fitting with every order.

Titleist Fitting at LionGolf follows Titleist’s standard club fitting process: every step has a clear goal and is confirmed with launch monitor data and your own feel. From driver, fairways and hybrids to irons, Vokey wedges and Scotty Cameron putters – each club is chosen for maximum distance, consistent ball flight and the stopping power you need on the green.
- 30minutes for a driver or iron fitting
- ~30swings – before fatigue lowers your speed
- 16loft – lie settings on the SureFit hosel
- 5SureFit CG positions to shape ball flight
- 7Vokey wedge sole grinds
What is the 30 in 30 method?
“30 in 30” is the minimum standard Titleist sets for driver and iron fittings: about 30 minutes and around 30 swings, working through each step in order so nothing that affects your ball flight is missed.
The swing limit is intentional: most golfers start to tire after about 30 swings, their speed and consistency drop and the data no longer reflects their real swing. So LionGolf fitters keep each step efficient and spend your swings on the changes that are truly worth testing.

Driver fitting process
- 01
Talk about your goals
More distance, more accuracy or avoiding a certain miss? The fitter checks face wear, shaft and length of your current driver.
- 02
Head model & loft
Hit at least two head models to compare ball speed, launch angle and spin.
- 03
Shaft & length
Choose shaft model, flex and weight; test different lengths and check impact location on the face.
- 04
Fine-tune loft – lie
The SureFit hosel adjusts loft and lie independently to optimise launch, spin and direction.
- 05
CG & head weight
Move the SureFit CG toward toe / heel to match impact (shape fade / draw), then try heavier and lighter weights than standard for the best feel.

Iron fitting: Distance – Dispersion – Descent
Titleist iron fitting optimises the three D’s of iron flight: distance, dispersion and a descent angle steep enough to stop the ball on the green.

-
Baseline with your irons
Hit 3–4 shots with your current 7-iron and record ball speed, launch, spin and carry as the baseline.
-
Choose the iron model
Weigh forgiveness, workability, trajectory and distance across the Titleist iron range.
-
Shaft, length & lie
Fit the shaft to your speed and tempo, check length with face tape and set lie with a lie board or a line drawn on the ball.
-
Loft & set make-up
Lofts can be bent up to 2° strong or weak. Find your longest iron that still lands steep enough to hold the green.
Data-driven set make-up
- Evenly spaced ball speeds: adjacent irons should differ by about 5 mph of ball speed. Less than that → change loft or model, or replace with a utility / hybrid.
- Enough descent to stop: for a 7-iron the ideal landing angle is about 45–55°; the rest of the set should land at similar angles.
- Consistent peak height: similar apex heights through the bag make distances easier to judge.
- Blended sets: mix iron models, utilities and hybrids in one set so every club is playable.

Fairways, hybrids & long game gaps
3 wood: first decide whether you hit it mostly off the tee or off the turf, and whether you want maximum distance or shots that stop on the green. An effective 3 wood loft is usually 13–16.5°, fine-tuned with the SureFit hosel.
Filling the gap: subtract the carry of your longest playable iron from your longest fairway. A 20–30 yard gap usually needs one club, 40+ yards needs two – fairway, hybrid or utility.
Vokey wedges: loft, bounce & grind
Wedge lofts about 4° apart give consistent 10–15 yard gaps; bounce and sole grind are then chosen for how you deliver the club and your course conditions.
Sweeper
Shallow angle of attack, thin divots. Usually mid bounce; low bounce can suit firm turf and sand.
Neutral
Moderate angle of attack, medium divots. Most choose mid bounce; higher bounce suits soft turf and sand.
Digger
Steep angle of attack, deep divots. Usually high bounce, with a mid-bounce wedge for firm conditions.
- F Grind
- S Grind
- M Grind
- D Grind
- K Grind
- L Grind
- T Grind

Scotty Cameron putters & grips
- Head shape & toe flow: matched to your stroke – arcing strokes suit more toe flow, straighter strokes suit low-toe-flow mallets.
- Length: sets your eyes about 1–2 inches inside the target line so the stroke can arc naturally.
- Loft & lie: around 3.5° of loft lifts the ball out of its depression for an early roll; lie lets the sole sit flat at address.
- Grip: grip size and feel for every club are chosen at the end of the fitting.

After your Titleist Fitting you get
- A detailed spec for every club: head model, loft, lie, shaft, length, weight and grip.
- Even distance gaps through the bag – no overlaps, no holes.
- Before – after data showing how your distance and dispersion changed.
- A Titleist order built to the exact specs from your fitting.
On the green, feel matters – but feel alone can't always tell you exactly why the ball misses the line, comes up short or rolls inconsistently. Putter fitting with SAM PuttLab at LionGolf shows golfers the real-time data of their stroke – face, path, backswing–forward swing rhythm and consistency from putt to putt – so every adjustment is based on evidence instead of guesswork or changing putters on a trend.
What is SAM PuttLab?
3D putting stroke analysis technology
SAM PuttLab is a putting analysis and putter fitting system based on precise 3D motion measurement. It tracks the putter's movement around impact and presents the results as figures, charts and visual reports that golfers can easily follow.
More than 70 putting parameters
The system can analyze more than 70 parameters related to face, path, rhythm, aim and consistency. Small deviations that are hard to see with the naked eye are shown as data, so golfers know which point to improve first.
What will you learn from a putter fitting?
-
Face at impact
Is the face square, open or closed at impact? Even a small deviation can start the ball off line, especially on short putts.
-
Putter head path
The data shows how the putter moves through impact, and how well your natural path matches the head style or hosel type you use.
-
Backswing and forward swing rhythm
The ratio between the backswing and the forward swing directly affects speed control. A consistent rhythm gives golfers more confidence on both short and long putts.
Goals of the fitting
- Start the ball on line more often.
- Optimize launch so the ball starts rolling early.
- Improve speed control.
- Find the putter setup that suits your natural stroke.
- Build a focused practice plan.
How does data turn into better putts?
Putter fitting doesn't mean you must buy a new putter after being measured. In many cases, golfers only need to adjust lie–loft, fit a grip of the right size or fine-tune the length so the eyes are in the right position at setup. Small but targeted changes can make the face more stable and reduce unnecessary grip pressure.
If your current putter really doesn't suit the way you rotate the face or your natural path, LionGolf will explain the cause clearly before suggesting other options. The goal is not to change putters more often, but to find a putter that supports each golfer's own stroke.
Who should get a SAM PuttLab putter fitting?
New golfers or those working on putting
The data quickly shows why the ball often misses the line, comes up short or rolls unevenly, helping build the right technique from the start.
Golfers who want fewer putts
Ideal for golfers who often miss 2–3 metre putts, leave the ball short at the hole or struggle to control distance on long putts.
Golfers about to change putters
Measuring before buying gives you a basis for choosing the length, lie, loft, grip, head style and hosel type that best suit your natural stroke.
Golfers tracking their progress
Re-test regularly to compare sessions, assess consistency and see whether drills or equipment changes really work.
Why get fitted at LionGolf?
LionGolf combines SAM PuttLab data with the golfer's real feel. Our technical team – SAM PuttLab certified – clearly separates errors that come from technique from those caused by equipment setup, so golfers avoid changing putters without seeing any improvement.
Every recommendation focuses on three core factors: starting the ball on line, getting it rolling early and controlling speed. After the fitting, golfers get a clear explanation of the data, the adjustment options and practical ways to improve.

Frequently asked questions
Is “SAM Putter” the correct name?
The system's correct name is SAM PuttLab. Many golfers search for "SAM Putter", but it is a putting analysis and putter fitting technology developed by Science & Motion Sports.
Do I have to buy a new putter after the fitting?
No. If your current putter suits you, LionGolf can advise on adjusting lie–loft, length or grip. A new putter is only recommended when the data shows that your current setup doesn't suit your stroke.
What should I bring to a putter fitting?
Bring the putter you use and the golf shoes you are used to. If you have a specific goal – fewer three-putts, better short putts or preparing to change putters – talk to the technician beforehand so the fitting is more focused.
When should I re-test with SAM PuttLab?
Re-test when you change your putting technique or putter, after a period of practice, or when your line and speed control no longer feel as consistent as before.
Should beginners get a putter fitting?
Yes. A putter fitting helps beginners understand their setup, path, face and rhythm – a basis for practicing the right way instead of forming habits that are hard to fix later.
